Hurrah!

Last night I finally got to scrapbook for myself. I am one page away from finishing Chloe's Birthday. It just drives me batty that I'm scrapbooking MAY!! I haven't been this far behind in quite a while. I guess I get about 6 months behind every Christmas though. Starting around October I start making Christmas presents and I don't get a lick of personal scrapping again, usually until after Lily's birthday. I was also very excited to use some of the goodies I got from the Secret Santa swap! I decided not to go crazy with Lily's birthday invites and I invited less people this year, so I actually finished those too! I really wanted to use a butterfly on the front, but I just didn't have anything and the thing I bought to use, Chloe lost. Oh well, I like how they turned out! Enjoy :)

Harry & Davids ooooooooh

We came home today to the greatest thing EVER!!! Lawrence and Tanja sent us a goodie box from Harry & Davids. Its sitting in the fridge right now haunting me!! I'm trying to wait until the morning to dig into it. It's really really hard! Also, the 3rd pic is of the fantastic RAK I got from the frosty friend swap.

On another note, we watched Little Miss Sunshine last night. It was soooo good. Everyone must go out and rent it right this moment!!

Snow Pics!!

Here's the card I made for Lauren's bday. We're going to a surprise party for her tonight. The pic on it was taken at her 80's party. I can't wait to give it to her. I also got to use my new american crafts flowers!! I love them so much :)

The other pics are of the girls in our front yard a few weeks back when it snowed. As you can tell Chloe didn't have much fun. Lily had a blast, but Chloe just cried and cried. The one where she's looking down is right after she fell and it totally freaked her out haha.

Arrrrr

My pirate name is:

Mad Mary Kidd

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

Yummm!!!

SPAM MUSUBI!!!
My new most awesomist favorite snack ever!! Thanks to my new friend Lauren for introducing me to this super yummy food. It's a Hawaiian favorite. Fried spam and rice wrapped in seaweed. I had Brian help me make these to take to our Christmas party. Fortunately they were a big hit. I also made Oreo Truffles, once again thanks to Lauren for giving me the recipie. They are soooooo good!!

Also, here's a pic of my new goodies. I've been looking for these felt flowers for quite some time now and Now Hoblob has them!!! I was so excited when Wendy called to tell me. AND my grandma gave me a late birthday present the other day (yay!) so I had money to go get them! So excited to use them. Hopefully soon :)

Here's the boss's gift. Everyone chipped in on money to buy the supplies and I did the work. He didn't have any pics of his kids in his office, just like 12 of his granddaughter. haha.

We got an email last night that said all of the testing and interviewing on Monday (for the railroad) was cancelled. Surprisingly enough, I'm not really upset. I know that God will take care of us. He has so far, so why would he stop! And I wouldn't want Brian to get a job that wouldn't be good for us and obviously this wouldn't have been good. It was in the city and as much as I say I probably wouldn't, I expect we would eventually just move down there. Something better will come along and I'll be glad he didn't get this one :)

Ho Ho Hum

I've figured out why this years holiday seems more stressfull than normal. Usually it's not so much stressful, as fast paced and exciting! This year I feel like we just don't have enough money or time.

This is my first year to not work retail during the holidays. In the past I would work the day after Thanksgiving and it would switch "go mode" on in my brain, or something. I would be go go going until I dropped early February when things calmed down again, and I actually enjoyed it! I LOVED being so busy at work, it was like an adrenaline rush and it was fun. This year I go to work and nothing is different, I come home and it's go go go time and my brain is still on checking email at work time!

Also, this is our first Christmas without Mamaw. She was always there to vent to and to make ends meet when they just didn't quite. I really miss her and I forgot to go to a special Hospice Ceremony for her on Sunday which made me feel really crappy.

Another thing is, Wendy is stressed. When both friends are stressed there isn't a friend to balance them out. We are on an uphill road. We really just need to get with Lori and scrap our brains out untill we get all of our bad energy out, but there just isn't time until well, maybe February! We are going to be BALD by then!! For the first time in my life I can actually say that I'm ready for the holidays to be over. I can't believe I'm saying it, but I am. So sad.

Brian has been a tyrant lately. I finally broke down and called my dad. I asked him if there was anything he could do, like pull favors or something, to get him back on his medicine. He's going to give me some numbers to call. I'll have to pay for the "evaluation" which is around $50(which we don't have) but he can get us into a program that will help with the medication until Brian gets the railroad job and our insurance kicks in. I told him this morning that I had found something that might help us with the cost and would he please go to the eval if we could afford his meds. He said he didn't know because he is still in a bit of denial that anything is wrong. Then, we're watching ESPN and this story comes on about a football player that lost everything because he was Bi-Polar and he couldn't control himself. It was like God put that story on just for him. He just looked at me and snickered, like well, that was weird. Hopefully he took it to heart and didn't think well, I'm not THAT crazy and I would never do that! We'll see.

Christmas time!!!

We just got back from our annual Christmas pageant at the church. It was fantastic! They had to cancel it last year due to construction, so it was even more great having to wait an extra year to see it again. This year Lily watched with us. She had a LOT of questions throughout, but we made it with flying colors! I almost cried when we saw all of the angels and she was talking about Mamaw. She wanted to know if Mamaw was an angel and I told her that she wasn't, but she was WITH the angels and aren't they beautiful? She got kindof upset when Jesus was on the cross, but she was okay after he ressurected and went back up to heaven with the angels again. It was really sweet when she saw the nativity scene, she said "there's baby Jesus! He's Gods son!" My grandmother got a tickle out of it too, as you can imagine.

On a totally different, but also exciting note...I got my Secret Santa gift in the mail today!! My Sister-in-law & aunt & uncle were here to witness the opening and they couldn't stop laughing because I almost couldn't breathe it was so awesome!!! So, Here's a pic :) I hope my Frosty Friend enjoys her gift as much as I'm going to enjoy mine!

Ah yes...

I haven't been feeling well lately and last night I was in a really bad mood, so after I bathed the girls and got the little one in bed I busted out the paints. I haven't painted in SOOOO long and just the smell of the oils made me feel outstanding. I plugged in my earbuds and turned my music up. Unfortunately I've been battling a cold lately so halfway through I couldn't smell anymore, but it was still nice. I finished my dad's present, but I'm not posting it b/c he's sneaky and I finished a canvas for my uncle's fiance to give to her mom for her birthday. That is just what I needed! Why didn't I think of it sooner??
